“In the evening of May 5, I noticed that the food in my 20-year-old Maytag refrigerator was defrosting. Fitting the category of persons vulnerable to possibly dire consequences if infected with Covid-19, food shopping had been a bit of a challenge. Grocery pick-up orders had been cancelled twice, and delivery orders delayed by days. The prospect of ending up with spoiled meat, poultry and fish was quite distressing. Thanks to Yelp reviews, I determined that Don’s Appliances was THE business I wanted to contact, especially after reading its website, owner Anthony Weidner’s background, and his 22 years of experience. After requesting an appointment online I called its number the next morning to find out when I could get an estimate. I spoke with Breanne, Anthony’s wife, and she was absolutely wonderful – empathetic and warm. Anthony rearranged his schedule to help me and came to my house that afternoon. He diagnosed the problem as a broken condenser fan motor, but because of the age of the fridge, a compatible part was not on his truck. However, his local supplier had the motor, and by 5:00 P.M. my refrigerator was repaired. I am simply overwhelmed by the sincere concern and kindness of Anthony and Breanne who went to extra lengths to help me. Moreover, the repair bill was very reasonable. My profound thanks and appreciation to both of them.”

“We were having an issue with our oven not heating. We called Don’s Appliances in Long Beach and Josh(B) came out the following day. He diagnosed the issue and put in a new ignitor that he had on his truck. Oven heated right up but Josh didn’t like the way the part fit so he ordered an actual LG part. He returned the following week once the part came in. We truly appreciated him keeping in touch with us through the entire process. A lot of repair techs would have just left the part in and collected payment. Josh showed honesty and professionalism.”

“Mo came by to fix our fridge. It had a foul odor from some spilled milk that was stuck in the drain pan. It was gnarly. Mo jumped right in, starting taking things apart and scrubbed and sucked all the gunk out. It’s probably not the “repair” job he was expecting, but he was so thorough, I had to leave an amazing review. He only charged us a standard service fee, which didn’t feel like enough for the elbow grease that was spent. Thanks, Mo, and thanks Don’s Appliance. You have a customer for life.”
